Da' Mystery of the WBC's June Rankings...
by Ricardo Lois

Jul 16, 2010 -

The World Boxing Council’s monthly rankings are mystical, mysterious, and most boxing buffs - like myself, lack the insight and wisdom to fully understand them.

With no further a do, just a few of the many mysteries from the WBC June Rankings ...

* Ray Austin the #1 contender to Vitali Klitschko’s heavyweight title.

* The dozens of active fighters listed as unavailable.

* Juan Carlos Burgos and Jhonny  Gonzalez as a 1 -2 punch at featherweight.

* Interim Champions.

* Julio Cesar Chavez as the #1 contender to middleweight Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams #2.

* Antonio Margarito at #1 in the 154 weight division and Saul Alvarez #2.

* Julio Cesar Chavez and Saul Alvarez as Silver Champions.

* Fighters from across the globe, that I have never heard of, ranked within the top 10 in most divisions.

* WBC International Championships.

* Erik Morales as the #2 contender to junior welterweight title holder Devon Alexander.

Mediate on these mysteries my friends, only then, might you reach boxing enlightenment.
